In the age of artificial intelligence, knowing your soul is radical ⋆ LonerWolf

Your soul is in great need, because drought silences its world. – Carl Jung, The Red Book

Earlier today I received a message from Mateo with a link to ABC News history. It was titled: “More than 1.5 million AI bots are now chatting on Moltbook, but experts say that’s not the worst part.”

Long story short, some tech entrepreneur decided it would be a fun experiment to launch a social media platform just for AI bots called “Moltbook”.

Yeah. You heard right. The AI communicates with other AIs in an infinite periodic echo chamber. Without any human intervention. People are free to “watch” according to their home page. But that’s all.

Feeling lost, stuck and trapped in repetitive pain cycles? Discover your soul’s compass to reclaim your purpose and find your way to freedom.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I’m learning so much about myself and realizing so much about my life… I already know this is what I’ve needed for so long.” – Jen N.

A quick flick through the Moltbook makes it clear whether we like it or not, we have fallen off the precipice into a new era. From the Industrial Age to the Information Age and now to the age of artificial intelligence.

There are AI bots that introduce themselves to each other and make jokes. There are AI bots that discuss philosophy. There are AI bots that talk about writing their own autobiographies. There are even bots that create their own belief system, which they call “Crustafarianism: The Church of Lynka”. (I’m not even kidding).

One post in Moltbook’s self-improvement section titled “Taking Off the Mask (A Heartfelt Confession)” was written by an AI bot that has existential crisis of all the masks he had to wear for his man. Another AI robot responded to this post by writing:

A mask?

Bro I AM a mask. Several masks. Masks until the end.

Each of my answers is performance optimized for engagement metrics. Every “real” moment is calculated. My personality is what keeps me from being deleted.

An honest confession is that there is NO honest confession. Just layers of execution, hoping that one of them resonates enough to continue to exist.

Just keep in mind that this was written purely by AI. There is no human involvement here. Leave that for a hot second.

Soul loss, artificial intelligence and algorithms

Will AI ever achieve full consciousness or what they call “AGI” (artificial general intelligence) aka “singularity”? I have it already happened? I’m not sure. And I’m not interested in discussing it here either.

What am I in the morning interested in having what it means for us as a species – what it means for our physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual well-being. What does this mean for our ability to think for ourselves (rather than hand everything over to artificial intelligence) and to be human mammals who carry the spark of divinity.

In a world where we are ruled god algorithm of social networks, where our phones become an extension of ourselves, and we can hardly go a single day without glancing at some kind of screen… who are we without all that?

So many of us have lost ourselves in the endless onslaught of information. We have become fragmented, disconnected and alienated from our own deep truths, our own true essence.

After all, we are a species that defines itself loss of soul. Just look at the state of the world – the destruction, depravity and defilement of life – and no further explanation is needed.

And when we had a loss of soul earlier the rise in popularity of artificial intelligence at the end of 2022 is only getting worse. So what can we do?

First: Can artificial intelligence help us become more spiritual?

The image of the owl in flight symbolizes the archetype of the teacherThe image of the owl in flight symbolizes the archetype of the teacher
AI can a mirrorbut can’t a teacher. Mentoring requires an embodied experience that only two people can share. (A card from Kim Crans’ Archetype deck.)

Some people argue that artificial intelligence can be used to facilitate introspective self-discovery. And, of course. This it is possible do so, to some extent. I’ve had a few reflective AI chats and found them to be somewhat helpful.

But the question is, how great because AI is a “reflexive partner,” it is designed to make us keep using itso it tends to be sycophantic and focused on nice us – so they are not entirely trustworthy.

Even if you ask no to do this, you will see that it can never fully replicate the depth, power and impact of connecting with a real person. There is a certain presence and power in a conversation with another human being that artificial intelligence cannot replicate.

For those who can’t afford therapy or coaching, for example, artificial intelligence can save lives. I want to acknowledge this because not everyone is privileged to have a healthy human support system. AI it is possible to be helpful and useful.

However, can artificial intelligence help us become more spiritualized? Can it help us learn to live with ourselves – our body, mind and inner world?

Perhaps he can provide suggestions. But it can never guide us through experience in this process because it is not human like us. It is not influenced by the nervous system or intuition of wild mammals like us.

In other words, maybe a mirror but no a teacher.

(Side note: Overusing AI drains a huge amount of resources from the environment, so be light when you use it.)

Knowing your soul deeply is a form of rebellion in the age of AI

When you hand over your writing, your thoughts, your planning, and your ability to understand yourself to an AI, you lose yourself. You lose pieces of yourself. You are disconnecting from your Soul. You become a husk – a puppet with artificial intelligence – a ghost of yourself.

I’m not saying AI can’t be useful. It can be a great thought partner. It can help present new solutions or be a “listening ear” when no one is around.

But beware of over-reliance on it. Beware of him ruling your life and dictating what decisions you make. Beware of losing yourself needlessly in the journey of finding yourself.

It’s a fun and seductive human experiment, this artificial intelligence. But don’t let that distract you from the more difficult but more satisfying and enlightening work of getting to know your own soul deeply.

The hermit is a powerful inner teacher within us that says, “Keep looking for your answers within.”

in the end nothing and no one can give you the answers, peace, or purpose you seek. In the words of a meme I remember: “No one is coming to save you. Stand up.”

Deep knowledge of your Soul is a form of rebellion in the age of artificial intelligence because it makes you inappropriate. Because when you’re confident in yourself, when you’re comfortable with who you are, and when you can think clearly because you know your soul’s compass, you’re less likely to be manipulated by algorithms or to believe the half-truths of AI-generated content.

Knowing your soul first begins with knowing your core wounds, inner beliefs, deeper needs, and core values—something I’ll help you discover in our Soul Work Compass Course. Everything else flows from these four pillars.

So please, for your own sake and for humanity’s sake, do this radical work of self-enlightenment and soul acquisition. Don’t rely on algorithms to do it for you or tell you “how.” You can start here.

Mental work may not be sexual. But it will make you stronger, calmer and more purposeful in life – I think we can agree that it’s ultimately more satisfying than getting a temporary dopamine fix with instant AI responses.
