Reading books, on the other hand, promotes relaxation and prepares our brain for rest. According to a study published by the National Library of Medicine, 42 percent of participants who read before bed reported improved sleep. So, if you’re having trouble sleeping, try picking up a book and reading until you feel tired—it might help you fall asleep more easily.

7. The last reason reading books is good is that it can greatly improve your focus.

According to Warren Buffett, unlike other forms of entertainment, such as watching TV with background noise or listening to podcasts while running, reading requires full attention. When you concentrate on what you’re reading, you train your brain, making it stronger and improving your focus and concentration.
